Instruction Time.

Class consists of a combination of advanced improvisational games, theater exercises, singing technique, and learning theater jazz choreography to accompany musical numbers. Students further develop crucial skills and techniques needed for auditions, interviews, and live performances.

Workshops & Masterclasses.

Students will be provided free and/or discounted workshops led by industry professionals in various areas of study throughout the semester.

Performances.

Students will be given the opportunity to use their talents to serve those in need and give back to their community. In addition to the final showcase at the end of the semester students will have several community performance opportunities including senior centers, children’s hospitals, and community events. Students will have the thrill to perform live in NYC for friends, family and industry guests. Click Here for a list of upcoming events. Additional performances to be added. Attendance Policy.

Please note, this class has a strict absence policy. Students are allowed 2 excused absences. Should a student be absent more than 2 times they will be removed from the class and moved into a different class for the remainder of the semester. No refunds will be applied.

Auditions.

Auditions for the Spring 2023 semester will take place on Wednesday, January 18 from 6pm-8:30pm. Students are asked to prepare 16-32 bars of an age appropriate musical theater song that showcases their abilities and a 1-2 minute monologue.
