Theatrical Artist’s Prep Presents: 13 THE MUSICAL (full length production featuring a live band)

Who: TAP welcomes all 13-18 year old actors to audition.

In-Person Auditions (Recommended): August 4th and 5th; 6-8pm @ Theatrical Artist's Prep (407 Park Ave. Scotch Plains, NJ 07076)

Prepare: Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song similar in style to the show. Please DO NOT sing something from 13 THE MUSICAL.

Note: In-Person callbacks will be held on August 7; 6-8pm. Actors should be prepared to sing, dance and read sides. Materials will be emailed in advance.

About The Show: Geek. Poser. Jock. Beauty Queen. Wannabe. These are the labels that can last a lifetime. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown, (13 is a musical about fitting in – and standing out!

Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents' divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain... or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!?

Note: Rehearsals will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at Theatrical Artist’s Prep from 5-8pm during August, 6:15-8pm during September, and TBD for October. Performances take place at UCPAC’s Hamilton Stage in Rahway, NJ on October 24th, 25th, and 26th.

Upon submitting your audition form you will be asked to select a preferred audition date. You will then be contacted separately via email to schedule an audition time as well as sent a conflict sheet to submit prior to your in-person audition.
